CONCUR assisted the California Urban Water Conservation Council in several strategic planning initiatives. CONCUR designed and facilitated a two-day retreat in February 2004 intended to help the Council, a Sacramento-based nonprofit that brings together California urban water agencies, environmental groups and others committed to accelerating the implementation of urban water conservation best management practices, develop both mid- and long-term goals and resolve several near-term funding and staffing issues. In October 2002, CONCUR facilitated a two-day strategic planning session that resulted in parties developing the broad outlines of a new three-year Strategic Plan. Following the strategic planning session, CONCUR worked with Council staff and leadership to refine and draft a summary document describing the Strategic Plan’s focus and goals. The Council unanimously endorsed the new Strategic Plan during its June 2003 Plenary session.
