CONCUR Principal John Gamman has been named by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board and the U.S. Council for the International Exchange of Scholars to the roster of the international Senior Specialists Program, enabling him to work with partnering academic and governmental institutions on national and regional environmental policy issues. John is planning to use this award to collaborate with the Oceanographic Research Institute in Durban, South Africa, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. This project will focus on coastal zone and marine management issues in South Africa. A second project is tentatively planned in collaboration with Lincoln University in Christchurch, New Zealand. This project may include environmental policy issues focusing on the relationship between indigenous Maori and national government and the impact of climate change related to sea level rise in the South Pacific.
