CONCUR Principal and Senior Mediator John Gamman gave a presentation at the Fulbright Academy of Science and Technology Sustainability Conference in San Francisco on March 12.  The conference was attended by Fulbright scholars and practitioners from many countries.  The topic of John’s presentation was “How Collaboration Can Promote Environmental Sustainability“.  Dr. Gamman was appointed as a Fulbright Senior Specialist in 2009.  His presentation focused on the meaning of multi-stakeholder collaboration; the benefits of undertaking collaborative decision-making, such as increasing institutional capacity and creating implementable agreements; obstacles to collaboration; and instances when this approach may be beneficial, such as addressing complex environmental challenges like climate change and the development of renewable energy projects.
